With a personality as vibrant as her colorful Caribbean roots, Priya is a natural-born leader who knows how to make people laugh. She started the collective after realizing that the world of comedy was missing a crucial ingredient – diversity. Priya knew that there was more to comedy than just middle-aged white men, and so she decided to shake things up. Lalita Dee is an out and proud LGBTQ comedian who’s traded in her clogs for a pair of Birkenstocks and swapped her stroopwafels for some avocado toast. Originally from the land of tulips and windmills, Lalita now calls Silicon Valley home – but that hasn’t stopped her from bringing a little bit of Dutch humor to the Bay Area. With her quirky observations and infectious energy, Lalita has audiences in stitches with her unique take on everything from politics to the complexities of cross-cultural communication.
